Balloons?!?!?...

What is our fascination with balloons? Whether it is a really great twisted sculpture or a simple air or helium inflated round balloon most of us can’t help but smile when seeing balloons. They always make our day just a little be brighter. Perhaps it is the vibrant colors, perhaps it is the cool creation, or maybe it is the endless possibilities. I like to think it is the fact that we know balloons are only there for a moment. We know that soon they will be gone and must be enjoyed while they are around. I like to think that balloons are a great reminder that not everything lasts forever and we should take the time to enjoy it while we have the opportunity.

Whatever the reason, Higher Hope is thrilled to offer balloon art, entertainment, and decorations for a variety of events. Whether it is a birthday party, wedding, library, school, church, bar/bat mitzvah, or a corporate event I am pleased to offer fun, elegant, and unique balloon designs.

When you think of balloon art you probably think of dogs and swords well friends that is not what Higher Hope offers. When it comes to twisted art I am pleased to be one of the top artists available in the entire industry. Not only the sculptures impressive, but so is the entertainment value. I offer games, storytelling, and even educational classes using balloon props.

Twisted Sculptures

I have been twisting balloons for the last six years and have been full time in business for the last three. I love making elaborate sculptures and I have even created large scale sculptures for competitions and for world record attempts. I love when parents biggest challenge of the evening is figuring out how to fit a really cool balloon into the car (don't worry just ask and I'll make cute and tiny as well).

Games

I love playing and creating party games using balloons. Sometimes it is just a matter of replacing traditional props with balloons, but other times its fun to create games just for balloons. My current favorite is watching all the dads try to blow up a long red balloon. By the time they are done they look the same color as the balloon (hehe I'm so sneaky).

Storytelling and Shows

For millennia storytelling has been a respected art form and in many cultures the only real way truth was passed down. I am very proud to call myself a balloon storyteller. I take traditional storytelling and give it a little “twist.” By creating props and costumes out of balloons I give a whole new visual realm to the world my stories create. Using stories I have created shows about cultures, secret agents, Christmas, history, science, and I continuously work on creating new stories. These shows are great for libraries, schools, daycares, and even birthday parties.

Balloon Twisting Classes

I have this crazy notion that every child should know how to twist basic balloon animals. Just as every child colors, paints, or draws they should experience the wonderful art of balloons. They won’t all grow up to love it and advance just as every child doesn’t grow up to be Picasso, but they should learn that there is the option. One option for your club, group, class, or party is to learn the basics of balloon twisting in a 90 minute class. In these classes you’ll learn five basic balloon creations: dog, sword, giraffe, bear, and swan. You can then have fun creating these marvelous balloons for all your children, friends, or complete strangers that could use a smile. Also great for mission teams needing to break the language barrier. Balloons, like love, cross all challenges.

Educational Classes

If you have not yet noticed I have a passion for things balloon related. I mentioned earlier about my storytelling shows for schools and other events. One possible option is not to bring the balloons at all. I am also a trained speaker working with programs like Toastmasters to bring my audiences fun and entertaining speeches. While I give motivational speeches and sermons (I’m a licensed Baptist minister as well) across the country I also give speeches about balloons and my business. This is a really good option for career fairs and days at schools as well as at nursing homes. The young and old have a fascination with balloons and find it really interesting some crazy people like me make a living playing with balloons.

Balloon Decorations

Not only does Higher Hope entertain and twist with balloons, but I also a proud balloon decorator. You may only think of balloon décor as arches and columns, but because of my skill with balloon animals and twisted sculptures I able to combine what many consider two separate art forms and create elaborate designs to make any event fun, elegant, beautiful, and unique.

Planning your Wedding Decorations

If you're a bride looking for balloon decorations for your wedding or reception let me strongly in encourage you to book soon. I've gotten a ton of calls for brides booking their dates and obviously it is first come, first serve.

I met with one lovely young bride today that will be getting married in May 2010. It is definitely not too early to consider booking. Also, remember after the initial deposit is filed you have up to two weeks before the event to make changes as long the date is reserved.

What people are saying about Higher Hope Decor

October 7, 2008
To Whom It May Concern:
This letter is in reference to Jason Vaughn who has been hired to do two successful programs for our library. We have another one pending for December, 2008. Jason has an exceptional gift of balloon sculpture. We are amazed each time he comes. There is little he cannot do with a balloon.
Jason also does an excellent job of storytelling with his programs. The children love interacting with him. He has a sharing and kind spirit.
I would highly recommend him at any level of entertainment.
Please let me know if I can provide you with any further information.
Respectfully,

To Whom It May Concern:
Jason Vaughn was the balloon artist for my carnival event at the Edward Jones Dome. I
could count on Jason’s creativity and dependability to make the client happy. I was in need
of not just any balloon artist. I needed a creative one that could create something of
amazement that at first glance you would have not noticed it was made out of balloons. As
each guest entered into the huge dome, they had to walk through a tunnel that looked like
hay bails made out of different sized balloon intertwined together. He designed a lion for
guests to take photos with as they walked out of the tunnel into the party.
During the two-hour event, Jason and his staff were professionally dressed in nice bright polo
shirts and walked around the party making balloon rings and bracelets on site for the
children. He even created a car out of balloons around a child. The child looked like he
was actually driving a car! Jason and his team made a huge impact on my event for an
affordable price. It was great and it was all thanks to Jason and his team. I highly
recommend Jason to you and all of my clients.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Thelen
